Purpose and Use of Christ the King Chapel

The primary purpose of the Christendom College chapel is to provide for the spiritual needs of the students, faculty, and staff of the college through the liturgical offerings scheduled by the college chaplaincy.

If space allows, members of the local community are welcome to attend Mass at the chapel, but all are encouraged to support and frequent their local parish.

St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church is the local Catholic parish (4 miles away) and offers additional Masses on Sundays and throughout the week. Go here for the full schedule of liturgical offeringsA Traditional Latin Mass is offered in St. Thomas More Chapel at Chelsea Academy at 7:00 a.m., 8:30 a.m., and 10:30 a.m. on Sundays. St. Thomas More Chapel is located at 1190 Progress Drive, approximately 1.5 miles from Christendom College. For other local Mass times, please visit CatholicMassTime.org

Please note that only Catholic liturgical or devotional exercises are permitted in the chapel.

Flyers, holy cards, devotionals, or any printed materials cannot be placed in the chapel without the approval of the college. Unapproved items will promptly be removed.

The use of the chapel or the piazza for any event must be approved by the college.

Please email Vice President of Student Affairs Amanda Graf (agraf@christendom.edu) for all requests for events and/or the placement of printed materials.
